One constant and glaringly obvious fact of X is that its an absolute sausage fest. Musk is always looking for ways to give the illusion of balance — diversity, if you will — but more than that he needs to keep tight control of the narrative so that his perspective on everything is seen as the cultural default, up until it is.

In creating the illusion of a gender balance, he seeks out very specific sorts of women to provide it.

This segment was clipped by Adrian’s “media guy”, and it seems Dittmann was quite proud of getting Grant to say he’s done cocaine before, but it’s also interesting that he wasn’t able to read the whole tweet.

The part of the space that Adrian talks over: “Today should be a great day for Tesla, the stock is up a lot, and you seem frazzled.”

It’s the wretched personality, the stunning arrogance, and the remarkably thin skin that confirms Dittmann as Musk more than anything else.

I was going to just clip the beginning few minutes of this — but it’s the totality that is most revealing.

After an hour of lecturing Destiny about appropriate internet decorum and hate speech, Dittmann brings in a ranting Trumper to defend Trump’s insurrection, because Dittmann can’t.

These are the tweets that set MAGA on fire, and Musk needed to step in as Dittmann.

So why does Musk demonetize Destiny, but not suspend him? Because Musk doesn’t give a shit about Corey Comperatore, or Ashli Babbit, or anyone else. The demonetizing was to appease Trump and MAGA, but he only suspends people who attack him.

He’s white, and male, which makes Musk extend an automatic baseline of respect — and as I see from Destiny’s Wikipedia entry, there may be more to him that appeals to Musk..

This is the definitive “proof of life” regarding Adrian Dittmann offered by the Spectator story — Patriarch and vague software developer Toralf Dittmann and his two sons who appear to be very close in age.

It’s rather apparent that Musk (as Adrian) is grooming young Elliot any time you would hear him on a Space, but I didn’t realize he had been out to xAI until he tweeted bout his trajectory on 10/10/25.

how i got here:

now im here, making some money, doing what i love, with people i love working with, while still having time to put this CUDA textbook into the world (im just waiting on publisher at this point) and do a few side thing

i used to be and still tend towards having an obsessive/addictive personality
put many years of my life into video games
it was only 2 years ago i started to turn that around because i got other interests and starting really looking forward to the future
went through all the karpathy lectures, youtube videos, etc and it was all very hard for me to stay consistent on the learning journey because my brain wasnt wired that way
wasnt the best in school, got mostly B’s and some A’s
was a very normal average person most of my life
there was never something that clicked for me. it was more of exploring what i thought was cool (transformer architecture and how to train on billions of tokens)
the most delusional moment i ever had was as i was listening to the nanogpt lecture was just experiencing how difficult it was and how much effort was needed to rewire my brain around tensors
so i reached out to freecodecamp (11M subs on yt) and asked them if they would be interested in this course idea of taking what karpathy did and making it easier for beginners without all the terms and fast talking.
i did it for you guys because i was going through the learning process and writing down my thoughts every time something didnt make sense, because i just couldnt understand anything else if i didnt
after getting all these learning pain points on paper, it was clear what i needed to go over to assemble this course. i thought it would take a month.
ended up taking the ENTIRE summer. the summer before i was starting my CS degree
i procrastinated to a ridiculous degree and almost didnt finish making the course.
days would be filled with insta locking reyna and getting tilted and feeling bad that i couldnt focus on what truly mattered to me because i was “stuck” in a phase.
nights would sit outside and look at the stars while reading max tegmark’s life 3.0 and get super inspired and this is where most of my intuition was built. just me, the cold air, tea, stars which i just know ill get the chance to visit one day
ended up pushing through will the end and i still remember the day i woke up to that course being posted and it just the best feeling i ever had.
i just did that.
i slept in a few hrs past the upload and when i checked it was at 35K views on youtube
one of the best days ever
went to university right after and created a community on my discord server of people interested in AI and tech and now its at 2000+ people (cant remember since its been inactive now)
would talk to 2 or 3 of them a day and get to know people and learn about them
did a bunch of tinkering through my first semester, some private tutoring for like 40 CAD per hr (this was a lot for me since i was used to minimum wage since i started working labor at 13)
semester went by, tried to get research grant to write paper on training neural nets from scratch to do basic minecraft tasks, got rejected since i was first year and the older students were favored
thought i wasnt good enough and kept putting up with shit for more months
got interested when karpathy got involved in the low level llm and cuda stuff (llm.c mainly)
was amazed at how far you could go with such minimalism but still had no idea how such a small number of talented people could pull this off so fast
end up trying to learn cuda to understand it more and realized all the resources are shit
decided to learn this and document my pain points and journey in a public notion document (which karpathy liked and boosted my confidence this would turn out well)
this was much harder than i thought and took about 1.5x longer than learning and crafting the llm from scratch course
as this was happening and i was grinding all day everyday through the spring (no school) and summer (also no school) i thought it would be a fun idea to show a recording of myself working for the long hours to show the world (maybe a few people if any) what this journey looks like
i set up my decade old raspberry pi and hooked it up to a second hand brio webcam
vibe coded a script to capture frames and put them into video at a set duration and frame interval
worked 12 hrs or something where the sun went down and came back up again (i was very locked in that night)
posted, got breakfast and started getting prepared to pass out since i was so tired
checked X as i was waiting for the toast to pop and i had full notifications
the timelapse was already up to 40 likes in under an hour and i was freaking out
every few seconds a new like, another one, two, three more likes
i watched this for a while until i just couldnt stay up anymore
woke up and was at over 2.5K likes
was very clear i need to do this everyday from now on
locked in super hard making this cuda course day and night for the next week
might have been timelapse 6 or 7 or something but i got the noti that adrian dittmann liked it (remembering listening to the space where he met elon the first time)
showed my parents how big of a deal this was
say adrian doing his space “the conversation” that night and decided to tune in since they were talking about ai stuff
thought i could add some value to the discussion, requested to speak
was let up within 30 seconds to speaker
heart started beating faster as we started talking, but quickly appreciated how friendly he and the other speakers were

that was both a great and tough day
he ended up joining the next day and i had my mic situation sorted out
talked about steak and eggs, direction of xai and grok (this is when grok 2 was their best model), keeping it simple and easy since it was clear he plays to chill out from working all the time
this kept on happening for almost a week and at this point i was skipped university classes to play d4 with him
week or two later got invited to the SF2 residency to get the classical SF experience
flew out dec 26 2024 and stayed for about a month
during my stay i was exposed to (and helped) implement deepseek v3 (based on hf weights and technical report) on a 8x3090ti cluster running out of the wall socket
dropped out of 2nd year uni
met with xai eng and asked if they are looking for kernel people
did interview and failed a few days after then cried for an hour thinking im a failure
met one of the FR8 guys at a hotpot around that time
continued the SF grind and meeting people
morning before i flew back to canada, i get a call from FR8 guys asking me to come to their hacker hotel in finland
“are they trying to kidnap me or something? this is too good to be true”
fly back, think about it, fuck it lets go, tickets paid for
flew out few days after that meeting
scared and tired as shit coming to the helsinki airport
they play the funniest prank on me ever as i walk into this building not knowing what to expect
we play mafia first thing
sleep like a baby, wake up
did my first cold plunge 32 F / 0 C and went into shock. learned how to breathe properly during the insane temp change
did that basically everyday for the entire cohort (was there for 2 months)
shipped like crazy, got addicted to caffiene, and learned so fucking much about writing textbooks
went back to canada
depressed and absolutely not locked in for that 2 months producing ai slop (a bit of contract work but not much)
FR8 asked me to come back for next cohort to be technical admin, lets go MF!
learned more about people and various tech subfields than i ever could have asked for
so much happened in that 90 days
painful moments, and very excited moments
also met co-founder of huggingface and supercell ceo when i was there
towards the end i was trying to wrap up my textbook but couldnt find much time for it as i working all day 7 days a week
friend asks if i can jump on contract work which im currently doing now. hell yeah!
